Conservative Dogma and Liberal Martyrdom are tired archetypes.

If we assessed the state of our country by measuring ideological disparities, we would almost certainly find it reasonable to rename the United States.

The Divided States of America is a much more ideologically appropriate name regarding what it’s like to live in the US in 2024.

We are not one nation anymore.

We are a torn nation with a polarized perception of one another.

Generally speaking, the current sentiment you’ll find on either CNN or Fox news Instagram accounts sounds something like this:

On one side, we have a bunch of dogmatic, judgmental, loud-mouthed bigots who (if they had their way) would put gay people in conversion camps, trans people in Psychiatric Hospitals and black or brown people in segregated neighborhoods.

On the other side, we have the collectively authoritarian, emotionally-fragile social justice warriors who want to accuse as many people as they can — of as many crimes and misdeeds that they can, all of which are inevitably the product of some unforgivable transgression against a pervasively triggered population of Marxists.

Hold on though —

Why are these two archetypes so over-promoted and exclusively highlighted?
